Thanks to all those who believe in this campaign, for your support, and your vote.
June 14, 2006
My heartfelt thanks to all of you who voted in the June 13 Democratic primary. You understood how important it was to work for change in Washington.

My deepest appreciation goes to my many supporters, from the hundreds of volunteers and campaign contributors, to the many thousands who saw in this campaign a hope for the vision for America that we share.

As I write this, the election is too close to call, and may require a recount to determine the winner. But regardless of who turns out to be the Democratic nominee, the job is far from over. Through the summer and into the fall, it is important that we all stay focused on the task ahead. We must replace Olympia Snowe in the U.S. Senate.

In all your political activities ahead, I urge you to remember the most powerful statement we can make is with our vote. How Maine votes in November will make a difference in what happens next in this country. In this race and in every race, vote for the America you want to live in. Thank you. I want to hug you all.
